How To Challenge A Character To A Duel And Defeat Them In Fortnite: What Is A Duel?
Not to be confused with Fortnite Versus Battles, Duels are one of the many services Fortnite Non-Player Characters (NPCS) offer. When you approach a Character on the Island and interact with them, a menu of functions will pop up.
Fortnite NPCs usually have weapons and other items for sale. Bulma, for example, sells the Fortnite Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud Mythics. Then, alongside their stock of purchasable items, most Characters offer varied services, from selling themselves for hire, revealing future Storm Circles, activating Prop Disguises, and even Duels.
When you initiate a Duel with a Character in Fortnite, they will send you flying backwards and instantaneously turn Hostile. When this happens — there's no going back — it's a fight to the death. Defeat the riled-up Character in a Duel to claim victory and collect your reward, usually some supplies and a weapon of Epic rarity.

How To Challenge A Character To A Duel And Defeat Them In Fortnite: Which Characters Can Duel?
Only a select few Characters on the Island offer Duels. The NPCs that you can Challenge to a Duel in Chapter 3 Season 3 include:
- Sabina
- Panther
- Mancake
While friendly at first, these Characters will soon turn Hostile if you speak with them and select the option to Duel.

Sabina
Sabina resides in a luxurious mansion at the Shell or High Water Landmark north-west of Sleepy Sound.
Panther
You can find Sabina hanging out inside the Central Gas Station north-west of Shuffled Shrines.
Mancake
Mancake is posted up just south-west of Panther at Rocky Reels.
