Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 release date
Originally, Chapter 4 Season 1 was meant to finish a little later in March, however, it was later confirmed to be moving forward. As revealed by the Fortnite Status Twitter account, the current season will be ending on March 8.
After this, the game will be entering maintenance after this time and it’s expected to go live again on March 9. This is when Chapter 4 Season 2 is anticipated to launch, with a variety of new mechanics for Fortnite players to dive into.
What’s the theme for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?
Of course, nothing is confirmed thus far for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, however, there are a ton of rumours and leaks roaming around out there.
Not all of these will be 100% accurate, but perhaps give a general insight into what can be expected. The main one on everyone’s minds is the theme of this season, which according to known leaker HYPEX, is set to be a “Futuristic / Neo-Tokyo theme”.
One of the biggest changes we can see in the artwork is an array of wind tunnels. While these aren’t exactly new to Fortnite, they do seem to be more apparent than before. How this will fit into the pre-existing map remains to be seen, but it will be interesting to see its integration.
Is Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 getting a first-person mode?
Out of everything in Fortnite, the longest-requested feature has been the inclusion of a first-person mode. While certain guns offer you the ability to aim down the sight, it’s currently not possible to play the entire game from that perspective.
However, according to the previously mentioned HYPEX and another known leaker by the name of Shiina, it appears those hopes could finally be answered. Both have reported on the inclusion of a first-person mode, claiming their sources have said it to be true.
Again, it’s worth not taking this as gospel at this point, but it seems highly likely the fan-favourite feature could be making its way into Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.

What skins are coming to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?
As with other aspects of Fortnite Chapter 4 Seasons 2, all the information surrounding skins comes from known leakers with a proven track record of unveiling characters that are set to join the game.
It’s been claimed that players should expect to see more skins from popular IPs such as Star Wars, however, there are also a few other surprises supposedly on the horizon.
Perhaps the most notable is the inclusion of an Attack on Titan crossover, with the anime’s main character, Eren Yeager, reportedly being a part of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass. There have also been rumblings of other items related to the anime, including emotes, banners, and even an Ice Fist pickaxe.
With Fortnite having embraced other popular anime, such as Dragon Ball Z and My Hero Academia, it’s not entirely surprising that Attack on Titan could be the next. With its final season currently underway, it seems like there would be no better time for a crossover.
Another heavily rumoured crossover is one with Resident Evil. It’s said that both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield could be part of the billing, joining the Item Shop at some point during Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.
With Resident Evil 4 Remake right around the corner, it does seem as though the timing of this could be perfect, as Epic Games attempts to buy into the hype of the eagerly anticipated game.
These leaks and rumours are all we know of skins coming to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 so far. As the season goes on, we expect to hear of more skins and anticipate a few surprises along the road. We’ll be sure to update this guide with any new information we learn in the coming weeks and months.
What other changes are coming to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?
Alongside these notable inclusions, it’s also been speculated that the Augments system could be receiving some enhancements. The most exciting rumour is a Legendary Augment that will allow you to reboot yourself without your team’s help after death.
It’s also said others could be introduced which increase your max shield or even give a siphon to use. It’s perhaps not too surprising to expect new Augments added to the newly crafted system, but it’s still exciting to potentially hear about what they could be.
As it stands, this is everything we know about Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. In the coming days and weeks, we will have more concrete information as to what Epic Games has in store for us.
Until then, you can begin speculating what else could be introduced following these leaks and rumours, and we’ll be sure to keep you constantly updated with all new features and changes coming to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.
