Fortnite Chapter 3 Map: Artemis
Now confirmed by multiple sources, the Chapter 3 map is titled "Artemis". This goes along with the Greek mythology-themed names of the previous Fortnite maps. Chapter 1's map was named Athena while Chapter 2's map had the name Apollo.
What will the Chapter 3 map look like?
While nothing is yet official, one particular map concept is running wild in the Fortnite community. An individual by the name of EDMIRE2k released a Chapter 3 map concept a couple of months back. While community map concepts are common, this one stands out for a few reasons.
For one, the creator titled the map Artemis. This was long before the name was officially confirmed. Additionally, EDMIRE2k claims to have a source within Epic Games and based their concept off of a blueprint of the official Chapter 3 map. This adds up too, as some of the Chapter 3 points of interest (POIs) that first appeared on EDMIRE2k's map have now been substantiated elsewhere.
Remember that when the Chapter 2 map first leaked, everyone thought it was a mere concept too. As it turned out, what we thought was just a concept was actually a 100% spot-on accurate portrayal of the Chapter 2 map. Based on all of this, we are going to give EDMIRE2k the benefit of the doubt - there might be more to this Chapter 3 map "concept" than meets the eye.

Locations on the chapter 3 map
Returning Points Of Interest
If this concept designer and other leakers are to be believed, we can expect to see the return of some classic POIs on the Chapter 3 map. Lucky Landing, Butter Barn, Catty Corner, and the pirate ship from Lazy Lagoon are a few notable POIs rumoured to be back for Chapter 3.
Remember all of the random POIs that were floating inside the mothership before it started abducting things? Well, it sounds like these locations may have been relocated to the Flipside, Aka, the setting for Chapter 3.
EDMIRE2k's Chapter 3 map concept also features fan-favourites like Tilted Towers, Loot Lake, and Pleasant Park, but we suspect the presence of these POIs may just be some wishful thinking.
New Points Of Interest
Of course, Fortnite Chapter 3's new map won't just be an assortment of old POIs. We can expect to come across some entirely new locations as we explore the Artemis map.
The Chapter 2 Finale trailer may have given us some hints as to what we can expect to see on this new map. At the conclusion of the trailer, the words "The End" pop up. Upon further examination, it appears that there are some mountains and a volcano hidden within the text. Without even knowing it, we might have already laid eyes on the skyline of the Chapter 3 map.
Expect the Chapter 3 map to be diverse and covered with all sorts of different biomes from the start.
How big is the new map?
Upon first glance, the Chapter 3 map concept that's been circulating around is quite large. But maybe it's built for more than 100 players?
Popular Fortnite content creators like Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, Jack "CouRageJD" Dunlap, and Ali "SypherPK" Hassan have advocated for an increased player count for quite some time now. With how big the Chapter 2 map was and how many players rush to die off spawn nowadays, matches would get sort of stale in the midgame.
Epic Games may have heard the outcry and designed the Chapter 3 map with an increased player count in mind. It's believed that the Chapter 3 map will be the largest map to date, but to accommodate the increased size, Artemis will support 150 players.
An increase to 150 players would do wonders for Fortnite. Matches would stay interesting throughout their whole duration and downtime would be limited. Overall, a larger map and increased player count would help Fortnite match the intensity of other battle royales like Warzone and Apex Legends.
New Vehicles
We can expect the addition of awesome new vehicles to help make traversing the massive Chapter 3 map a bit easier. In particular, the individual behind the original Artemis map concept believes that jetskis, rowboats, sailboats, and snowmobiles will be present on the Chapter 3 map.
Remember, none of this is officially confirmed. However, the Chapter 3 map will certainly introduce new vehicles or methods of transport in one way or another.

New Wildlife
Recent seasons of Fortnite have introduced wildlife to the island. Creatures like Wolves, Chickens, Boars, and more roam the island and are available for hunting and taming. We don't expect wildlife to disappear entirely, so don't be surprised to see some new animals on the Chapter 3 map.
With the winter season approaching, there are leaks that Chapter 3 - Season 1 will be winter-themed. This is pure speculation, but what if Chapter 3 featured some wildlife suitable for the winter climate? Polar Bears, Snow Leopards, Arctic Foxes, Killer Whales - these are all animals that would fit the winter theme and make for exciting additions to Fortnite.
That about sums up everything we know about the Fortnite Chapter 3 map. While much of this information is unconfirmed, there is substantial evidence to back it up. For now, we'll have to wait until December 7 to find out how much of these Chapter 3 map details come to fruition.
