How to use Limit Breaks in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Here you'll find out everything you need to know about using Limit Breaks in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, as well as raising your Limit Levels in the game.
There are plenty of ways to take down enemies in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but none are quite as iconic as the game’s Limit Breaks – so let’s break down how to use them and how to increase your Limit Levels so that you can use a wider variety of them (you can never have too many).
Limit Breaks, along with Synergy Abilities are some of the best ways to fight alongside your team, especially when you consider some of the best party combinations. So, knowing how to use them effectively and make them even stronger is paramount.
How to use Limit Breaks in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
When you engage in a battle in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you’ll notice your Limit Gauge in the bottom-right of the screen along with your party’s health. When you take damage, that gauge gradually fills as below. When it’s full, you’ll be able to unleash a powerful Limit Break using the combat Commands.
While some are offensive, like Cloud’s Cross-Slash, others have unique boosting properties, like Aerith’s Healing Wind that can restore a huge chunk of your party’s health. However, you can unlock more than one ability for the characters.
How to increase Limit Levels
There are a couple of ways to raise your Limit Levels in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth:
- Using Synergy Abilities
- Using SP in the Folios to acquire new abilities
Raising the Limit Level essentially allows you to use new abilities. For example, Cloud’s Cross-Slash, in the image above, is a Level 1 ability. At Level 2, he can use Ascension. Level 3 Limits can be unlocked by spending SP in the Folio.
That’s everything you need to get started with Limit Breaks and increasing your Limit Levels in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Soon you’ll be taking on the most dangerous enemies with your incredibly powerful attacks.
