If you’re looking to get Durium Sand in FFXIV’s Island Sanctuary, we have all of the information you need to know so that you can get your hands on Durium Sand in the game. In order to make your Island Sanctuary shine, you need to farm the Durium Sand - a brand new mineral that was added in Patch 6.5.
FFXIV is home to many materials that you have to collect throughout the game, whether it be to complete quests or make new attire for your character. This material requires you to create your own Islekeep’s Mythril Pickaxe.
Here is how you can make the Islekeep’s Mythril Pickaxe and farm the Durium Sand in FFXIV.
How to farm Durium Sand in FFXIV
In order to farm this material, you need to get your hands on Islekeep’s Mythril Pickaxe. In order to craft this item, you need a specific list of materials, as seen below:
- 3 Island Hawk's Eye Sand
- 3 Island Iron Ore
- 3 Island Resin
- 4 Island Mythril Ore
If you need help finding the materials, here is every place you can find them:
- Hawk's Eye Sand is found in Island Crystal Clusters (X:23, Y:21)
- Island Iron Ore can be mined from Rough Black Rocks (X:26, Y:20)
- Island Mythril Ore can be mined from Bluish Rocks near the Peak Point (X:31, Y:28)
- Island Resin is harvested from the Tuolong Trees on the south side of the river (X:21, Y:25)
Now that you have the Islekeep’s Mythril Pickaxe, you can head to the Sunrise Lookout (X:26.5, Y:19.4) where you can farm this material next to the mountain. In order to farm it, you have to have the Islekeep’s Mythril Pickaxe equipped. Keep an eye out for Rough Black Rocks, as that is where you’ll find the Island Durium Sand.
That’s everything you need to know about how to farm Durium Sand in FFXIV.
