How to carry over Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo progress
Learn how to carry over your FF7 Rebirth demo progress to the full game so you can skip over the first chapter & get bonus items to use as you explore.
Being able to carry over your FF7 Rebirth demo progress is a great bonus for eager Final Fantasy fans since you get an extra reward to boot. Thankfully, unlike other titles, the steps to bring your progress over to the full game are easier than you'd think.
How to carry over FF7 Rebirth demo progress
You can easily carry your demo progress for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth by starting a new game and then selecting "Check" in the "Bonus Item-Eligible Saved Data" screen that follows.
Rebirth will then check your PS5 for any saved data from the demo as well as Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the EPISODE INTERmission DLC.
As well as a Kupo Charm and Survival Set, carrying over your completion of the Nibelheim portion of the demo means you'll get to skip that section as you play the full game, so you won't need to play the opening section of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth twice.
Keep in mind that the part two demo in Junon will not carry over into FF7 Rebirth - only the progress from the Nibelhim section will.
Saved data rewards in FF7 Rebirth
Including those from carrying over your demo progress, you'll get the following bonus items as rewards in Rebirth for having saved data for the following FF7 games:
Game | Bonus rewards |
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo | Kupo Charm & Survival Set |
Final Fantasy 7 Remake | Leviathan Summoning Materia |
FF7R EPISODE INTERmission | Ramuh Summoning Materia |
Although not sounding as epic as the summoning Materia you can get from playing the first game and its DLC, the rewards you'll get in FF7 Rebirth for playing its demo are still nothing to sneeze at.
With their effects confirmed on the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo's PlayStation Store page, the Kupo Charm is "an accessory that increases the number of resource items extracted at a set rate", whilst the Survival Set includes "a selection of items to aid on your adventure, such as potions and ethers".
Being able to nab extra resources and have extra Potions in your inventory will definitely come in handy in the early parts of your new adventure with Cloud and co.
