Completing the Escape From Tarkov Therapist quest can be a pain to complete if you’re unsure where to complete each stage. As always, quests in Escape From Tarkov are deliberately obtuse in their descriptions, leaving you to deduce exactly where to find a key, or an important item with little help. So, if you’re wanting to avoid a headache you’re in the right place, as our Escape From Tarkov Pharmacist quest guide for Therapist gives you all the information you need to complete the task.
Escape From Tarkov Pharmacist Quest Details
The Escape From Tarkov Pharmacist quest is split into two main sections. The first requires you to acquire the Dorm room 114 key, and then you use that key to obtain a briefcase that is locked inside the two-story Dorms room 114 on Customs. Extracting safely with that quest item is also a requirement, so make sure to be careful once you’ve obtained the briefcase.
You must be level ten to start this quest, and have completed the Painkiller quest from Therapist prior to it.
Completing the quest will net you the following rewards:
- 25,000 Roubles
- 5700 EXP
- One AFAK tactical individual first aid kit
- Three piles of meds
- Increase of 0.04 to your Therapist rep
- Unlocks 6B47 "Ratnik-BSh" helmet for barter at Ragman LL2
This is also a mandatory quest for the Kappa container, and can be a blocker for Therapist progression, as completing it unlocks a significant number of other quests at once.
How To Complete Escape From Tarkov Pharmacist Quest
As mentioned above, the Escape From Tarkov Pharmacist quest from Therapist is split into two sections, but it is the first that most players are going to have an issue with.
While it is possible to pick this key up from any of the standard key spawn locations like jackets and Scav pockets, and you can even obtain it prior to starting the quest, there is thankfully a location with a rather high spawn chance for this specific key.
One of the main problems with key-bound quests in Escape From Tarkov is that it is complete luck whether you actually find a key or not, so having a relatively common spawn location is a welcome change in this quest.
The key spawn location in question is found on Customs, right at the Scav Checkpoint on the western side of the map. Once you reach the Checkpoint, you should be able to see a car by the gate, which has a jacket inside the boot. Although it is not a guaranteed spawn - and you could hypothetically try it 100 times and still not get the key - it presents a much higher chance than anywhere else.
Depending on how far you are into the Escape From Tarkov wipe, it can be a good idea to run your Scav for this key spawn as you will encounter much less hostility and be without the risk of losing your gear. However, if it is early wipe then you’ll want to get there first as many people will be going for the key, and shoving it in your secure container is an excellent way to make sure you can complete this quest.
Once you’ve got your hands on the key, you’ll want to head to the two-story Dorms right at the south of the Escape From Tarkov Customs map. Head through the main entrance and turn left into the corridor. Continue past the dining table area, and room 114 should be there on your right-hand side.
Use the key to unlock the door, making sure that the area is clear before you do so, and then head inside. The carbon case should be on the desk right in front of you, and it is a quest-only item so you don’t need any inventory space for it. There is also a safe and a medical container in the room so loot them if you want as well.
If it is an early point in the wipe you might not even need the key, as someone else will have opened the door before you. Thankfully, because the case is quest-only, it spawns uniquely for each player, meaning that it will always be there for you when you enter the room, regardless of whether someone has been there before.
Once you’ve got the case, you’ll want to make sure to extract safely from the raid to hand it back over to Therapist. If you’re lucky, you might have either the Dorms V-Ex or Smuggler’s Boat extracts active, but otherwise it’s probably safest to head to ZB-1011 or Crossroads.
As always, remember to hand the item over to Therapist as soon as you return from raid, as entering another raid and dying will mean that you have to do the whole process all over again, and we certainly don’t want that.
