Diablo 4 controller support means that PC players don't necessarily have to play with a mouse and keyboard. Diablo is a classic mouse and keyboard series, but you don't really need it for this entry.

The quick and simple answer is, yes, controller support is included in the PC version of Diablo 4. PC players who prefer a gamepad can rest assured they won't need to risk carpal tunnel with a mouse and keyboard.

Controller support was confirmed during a quarterly update given by Blizzard in February 2020. In this update, plans were laid out for PC controller support, how the UI design for both inputs has been designed, and even features to make couch co-op a better experience.

This is the first Diablo game developed simultaneously for both PC and consoles, so controller integration is a much bigger part of the process than before.

As you might expect, using a controller changes much about how you interact with the game and its systems. Thankfully, Diablo 4 will give players using a controller different options to customise their experience.

Players utilising a controller will be able to change up their button mapping and the UI to suit different scenarios, as Diablo 4 has two different UI modes: Classic mode with the action bar at the bottom centre of the screen, and a more console and TV-focused version in the bottom-left corner.

The PC version will feature both of these modes, and additional features that allow players to tailor their experience to fit their preferences.
