With five classes to chose from in Diablo 4, not all of them will have the same amount of love, and naturally one will rise to the top, while another sinks to the bottom. Check out the data on which classes are the most and least popular.

What are the classes in Diablo 4?

As of writing, Diablo 4 has five classes at launch. These classes are:

  • Barbarian
  • Druid
  • Necromancer
  • Rogue
  • Sorceror/Sorceress

Each class has its own set of skills that makes specialising in them unique. For example, while the Barbarian prefers to get up close and personal with enemies, Necromancers will use the powers of the dead to reinforce their own.

What is the most played class in Diablo 4?

According to Diablo 4’s Chief Developer, Rod Fergusson, the most played class is the Sorcerer/Sorceress class. In a tweet that he “secretly” shared with players, he let seemingly let everyone know where this class stood in terms of popularity.

While he did not elaborate as to why this class is proving so popular, it could be due to the overwhelming strength this class has over others.

While it may not have the brutal strength of the Barbarian in Diablo 4, the Sorcerer/Sorceress class can utilise spells and elements with powerful ranged attacks. And, with the armour they can wear, they’ll certainly look good doing it.

What is the least played class in Diablo 4?

While we do not know the official figures yet to indicate the least-played class in Diablo 4, it is thought that the Druid is so far the least-played class in these early days.

In Diablo 4's beta, Druids often stood out as being the least powerful, even with their mastery of particular spells and incantations. Moreover, they have quite a high skill ceiling, meaning that they can be increasingly complex to learn.

However, this is only an early indication. They will no doubt be official figures soon to come about the most and least played classes in Diablo 4. And when they’re released, you know where to find us for any updates.

That’s everything we know so far about the most and least-played classes in Diablo 4. Once the official figures start rolling in, we’ll be updating this page, so you can see the developments for yourself.
