Early on in Diablo 4, you'll be given a choice of what to inscribe into some Holy Ceadar Tablets, but what choice should you make?

What should you inscribe into the Holy Cedar Tablets in Diablo 4?

The main character of Diablo 4 inscribing something into the Holy Cedar Tablets, with five options available.

It essentially doesn't matter what you inscribe into the Holy Cedar Tablets in Diablo 4, as the outcome is the same regardless of your choice.

During the Rite of Passage quest in Diablo 4, when you get to Kyovashad, you will be told by the guards at the gatehouse that you need to take part in a cleansing ritual before you can enter the city.

You'll be directed to interact with a nearby shrine, where you can inscribe a sin on a piece of wood before casting it into the fire. However, there are five different options to select in this section, and you may want to know if they change anything about the quest.

Here are the five options:

  1. Inscribe Fear into the wood.
  2. Inscribe Anger into the wood.
  3. Inscribe Pride into the wood.
  4. Inscribe Greed into the wood.
  5. Inscribe nothing into the wood.

Like we mentioned previously, the outcome is exactly the same no matter which choice you make, and it has no lasting impact, so you can treat it as more of a role-playing moment for your character.

However, we recommend choosing the bottom option entitled "Inscribe nothing but scribbles into the piece of wood" for a comedic moment.

Once you make your choice, you will receive some XP, money, and access to the hub area of Kyovashad.
