How Long To Beat
We all love a faithful pet to stand loyally by our side, and Diablo 4 lets you unlock them as companions by completing a specific quest. Pets were added recently in Season 4, but how exactly can you get your own?
I've covered the entire process for unlocking ad equipping pets below.
How to unlock pets
Unlocking pets begins with the Faithful Companion quest that should appear in your log when you get on the game. This will direct you toward the northwestern part of the city of Kyovashad.
At the quest marker, you can find the Well Behaved Dog. Just press the corresponding button to pet them and finish the quest. You'll now have unlocked pets in your wardrobe.
How to equip pets
Head over to any wardrobe (though the one in Kyovashad is best, as you're already there) and select the new 'Pets' tab at the top of the screen. This will let you equip the dog you just encountered, called Asheara.
With your trusty dog following you, you can pet them at any time by using the hello emote while standing right next to them.
It's worth noting that the only way to get more pets currently is by pre-ordering one of the Vessel of Hatred expansion editions.
The standard edition offers the snow leopard Alkor; the deluxe edition gives you Alkor and the husky, Hratli; finally, the ultimate edition includes all the above and a tiger called Natalya.
