How Long To Beat
Abattoir of Zir is an end-game challenge event in Diablo 4 where players can access different tier dungeons using event-exclusive items called Bloodforged Sigils. It is a brutal event in Diablo 4 requiring you to clear a certain number of enemies before the ten-minute timer ends to summon a boss that you must defeat to clear the dungeon.
However, the harder the challenge is in the game, the greater the reward and the sense of satisfaction of beating it. So, keep reading our guide as we explain how you can enter the Abattoir of Zir and start clearing dungeons.
How to enter the Abattoir of Zir
In Diablo 4, you can enter the Abattoir of Zir using the Bloodforged Sigil crafted using its recipe at the Occultist. First of all, you must be at World Tier 4 and have completed all the Chapters in Season of Blood, marking the completion of the Seasonal Journey.
Doing so will give you the Bloodforged Sigil Tier 1 recipe. Once you have it, head to the Occultist. You're best off visiting Nomin in Ked Bardu, as this is the same area where you can spawn the Abattoir of Zir portal.
Interact with the Occultist and navigate to the third tab that says, 'Craft Sigils.' Select the first option, 'Bloodforged', and craft the Tier 1 Bloodforged Sigil.
Once you do that, you will be ready to head into the Abattoir of Zir dungeon upon consuming the crafted Bloordforged Sigil. To do that, open the 'Character' menu, head to the 'Consumables' tab, and select the Bloodforged Sigil.
When you do that, a pop-up window will appear saying, "Consume Sigil to activate a Nightmare Dungeon at Abattoir of Zir." Click the 'Accept' option and head to the Visceral Channel, a portal west of the Ked Bardu Occultist.
That said, if you don't want to travel to the Visceral Channel or find it hard to locate, as soon as you consume the Bloodforged Sigil, you will get a pop-up hinting you can teleport to the Nightmare Dungeon's entrance. So, open the map and teleport to its location, denoted by a gate icon with horns.
Once you clear the Tier 1 dungeon, you will receive the recipe for Bloodforged Sigil Tier 2. Craft and use this to gain access to the Tier 2 dungeon, and so on. The process will repeat:
- Beat the dungeon
- Get the crafting recipe for the new Sigil
- Consume it and tackle the next-tier dungeon
