April 22 was Earth Day, and despite living in a completely different universe to our home planet and being a lord of hell, Duriel from Diablo 4 kindly made some offerings for us.

The game's been out for closing on a year now, but Blizzard promoted the ongoing seasons through a unique Earth Day event and scheme involving the specialist animal rescue hospital in the UK called Tiggywinkles. Learn more about Duriel's Offering and how it works below.

What was Duriel's Offering for Earth Day?

Duriel's Offering for Earth Day was a scheme where Blizzard donated 45,000 maggots to the Tiggywinkles specialist animal rescue hospital for every 25 likes this post on X (formerly Twitter) received

As of writing this, both Duriel's Offering and Earth Day have officially ended, but the scheme was successful, with Blizzard donating 30 million maggots to the hospital.

The post got 21,000 likes within the day, allowing them to quickly reach the goal of donating 666 buckets of maggots - which is two years' worth of food for the birds at Tiggywinkles Hospital.

You'll have to wait until next Earth Day to see if Diablo runs a similar event so you can get involved again, or even for the first time if you missed this previous one.
