How Long To Beat
Diablo 4 Champion's Demise is a very popular dungeon among those trying to level up their character quickly. Diablo 4 has a steep hill to climb in order to reach the max level, so putting time into the dungeons is required.
Champion's Demise is an often talked about dungeon, as it is one of the most popular spots for farming experience in the game. Here is everything you need to know to find and complete Diablo 4 Champion's Demise, and what Aspect you can get from it.
Where is Champion's Demise?
Champion's Demise can be found in the south of the Dry Steppes. The specific region is called the Untamed Scarps, the dungeon can be found southeast of the Temple of Rot and northeast of the town of Jirandai.
The closest waypoint is in Jirandai, if you have been there previously you can fast-travel there and quickly make your way to Champion's Demise.
Champion's Demise guide
As dungeons are procedurally generated in Diablo 4, an exact step-by-step walkthrough isn't possible. We can, however, go over the steps of the dungeon and talk through any potential sticking points.
The first objective of the dungeon is to return the Stone Carving to the Pedestal. There are three stone carvings to find, each is guarded by some tough enemies. From the altar, follow the various paths around to find each of the stone carvings.
Once you defeat the enemies and retrieve the carvings, place them on the pedestals at the altar. This will spawn two Cairn Defilers, who you need to defeat to proceed.
Once they are defeated, head to the final area called Eater of Stones and defeat the Khazra Abomination to complete the dungeon.
The Khazra Abomination isn't a particularly complicated boss fight. It doesn't have many attacks, your primary concern is the poison pools it creates. It can create pools at a distance, or even larger pools directly in its vicinity. Keep moving and chipping away at it to bring the Khazra Abomination down.
Champion's Demise first-time clear reward: Aspect of the Umbral
Completing Champion's Demise for the first time rewards you with the Aspect of the Umbral. This Aspect restores your primary resource (mana, rage, spirit, etc) every time you crowd-control an enemy.
The effect can restore between one and four points of that resource each time, but as with all Aspects, you only get the lowest possible version if you use it. This means equipping the Aspect of the Umbral will always only grant one point each time.
To improve this, you will need to find a legendary item with the Umbral effect that grants higher amounts, and either use that item or extract the effect and put it on another piece of gear.
