Aspects are modifiers in Diablo 4 that players can use to transform Rare rarity items to Legendary while giving them unique traits and abilities to enhance the item and transform it into a better version. That being said, since Aspects are unlocked via Codex of Power by completing certain dungeons, players with multiple characters in Diablo 4 may wonder if they can use Aspects on an account-wide basis.

So, if you are playing the game and are confused about whether you have to unlock Aspects for all of your characters, keep reading our guide as we answer whether are Aspects account-wide in Diablo 4.

Are Aspects account wide?

D4 Aspects Account Wide

So, the answer to the above question is both yes and no. Yes, the Aspects unlocked through dungeons are account-wide in Diablo 4, but not the ones obtained via extraction.

There are two ways to get Aspects in Diablo 4: the first method is farming dungeons, and the second is extracting them from Legendary equipment at the Ocultist. The Aspects that you obtain from dungeons are account-wide

Meanwhile, the Aspects you obtain via extracting them from equipment are only available to the particular character with whom you extracted the Aspect.

Can I equip a Legendary Aspect belonging to another class?

Diablo 4 Legendary Aspects

Aspects in Diablo 4 are class-specific as they add an ability to the item that benefits from a particular class ability. That is why we have players who often wonder if they can equip Legendary Aspects belonging to another Class.

While you can equip Legendary Aspects belonging to another class, you won't be able to get the full benefit of it as the ability they add to an item is associated with a skill of that Class.

For example, assume you are using the Aspect of Ancestral Echoes on an item equipped on the Rogue Class. You won't be able to use its special bonus of having up to 50-60% chance of summoning an Ancient to perform skills like Leap, Upheaval, or Whirlwind as to trigger the effect of the Aspect, you must have the Barbarian skill, Call of the Ancients in your action bar and you must damage enemies with Leap, Upheaval or Whirlwind.
