How to get the Two-Tailed Fox

Much like the weapon itself, the catalyst for Two-Tailed Fox does not have a specific source. The catalyst is a random drop from ritual activities. These include completing Vanguard Ops, Crucible matches, and Gambit matches.

There isn't any way to improve or alter your chances of acquiring the catalyst. If you want it, you need to put the time in. Chances are, the catalyst will drop when you least expect it, so try not to drive yourself mad playing match after match or strike after strike in the hopes of getting it.

At the very least, once you get the catalyst, there are no extra quests steps to complete. You only need to complete the final step of every catalyst, which is to get many kills with the weapon.

Once you have the catalyst in your possession, you need to get 350 kills with Two-Tailed Fox to finish the catalyst and get your third rocket installed.

Destiny 2 Two-Tailed Fox Catalyst: The weapon and its perks

One is a Solar rocket, the other is a Void rocket. With the updates to how subclasses work, the Solar rocket causes burn, and the Void rocket suppresses enemies.

Unlocking the catalyst adds a third rocket to each shot, which as you might imagine is an Arc rocket. The Arc rocket causes jolt, allowing you to inflict three different status effects in one shot.
