Swarmers is one of the powerful new exotic armor pieces added with the Lightfall expansion. Destiny 2 character builds are never complete without an exotic to tie them all together. Swarmers grant Warlocks a really cool extra ability as part of their Strand subclass. Here is everything you need to know about the exotic armor.
What is the Swarmers?
As mentioned, Swarmers is a Warlock exotic leg armor piece. The armor is for the new Strand subclass and gives Broodweaver Warlocks the ability to create even more Threadlings.
the effect of the Swarmers is that, when you destroy a Strand Tangle, it spawns several Threadlings. Tangles are created by defeating enemies with Strand weapons and abilities and can be picked up to be thrown at enemies for more damage.
Instead, shooting the Tangle while wearing Swarmers will cause it to explode and send out Threadlings, the small Strand beings that seek out and attack enemies.
How to get the Swarmers
As it was with Witch Queen, so it is with Lightfall. There are three new exotic armor pieces, one for each of the classes. In order to get your hands on them, you are going to need to complete the Lightfall campaign on Legendary difficulty with the relevant class.
For the Swarmers, you will need to complete the Lightfall campaign on Legendary with your Warlock. You do not need to do it solo, or all in one go, nothing like that. Simply get the campaign completed on Legendary difficulty however it suits you and the exotic will be yours.
