Best Prismatic builds in Destiny 2 for Hunter, Titan & Warlock (Episode: Echoes)

Prismatic is a powerful new subclass in Destiny 2, and it's led to some fun new build options. Here are my favourite combinations that I've used so far.

The dust is settling from The Final Shape, and while we're already into Episode: Echoes, we're just now finding new ways to play with Prismatic, the latest Destiny 2 subclass.

Prismatic unfurls throughout the campaign (and you can follow our guide for how to find the remaining Aspects and Fragments), and allows Guardians to mesh Light and Darkness abilities together for the first time in the franchise's history.

Bungie suggested it'd be "a little game-breaking" in its ViDoc ahead of Final Shape, and in many ways that wasn't just hyperbole - Prismatic can open up a ridiculous suite of abilities that lean into each other to make you unstoppable, unkillable, or both.

With all that in mind, here are my favourite builds right now for Prismatic on Titan, Hunter, and Warlock.

Prismatic Hunter

  • Required exotic: Liar's Handshake

Titans get a lot of flak for their love of punching enemies really hard, but this Hunter build will have them punching even harder.

The goal here is to keep moving. Dodging slows enemies thanks to Winter's Shroud, opening them up to a nifty Combination Blow. In some ways, it's the same Liar's Handshake/dodge/punch build that's become pretty prevalent over the last few years, only with Stylish Executioner for invisibility and Silence and Squall for a big finish.

If you've run Dual Destiny and unlocked exotic class items, it's possible to get a "God Roll" for this build, too. I was lucky enough to get one with Spirit of the Dragon and Spirit of the Liar - the former reloads my weapons and increases handling speed with each dodge, while the latter basically functions as my Liar's Handshake.

  • Abilities: Silence and Squall, Gambler's Dodge, Triple Jump, Combination Blow, Grapple
  • Aspects: Stylish Executioner, Winter's Shroud
  • Fragments: Facet of Courage, Facet of Dawn, Facet of Protection, Facet of Purpose, Facet of Ruin
  • Mods:
    • Head - Dynamo, Hands-On
    • Arms - Heavy-Handed x 3
    • Body - Concussive Dampener, Melee Damage Resistance, Void Reserves
    • Legs - Harmonic Scavenger, Innervation, Absolution
    • Class Item - Bomber x 2, Powerful Attraction

Prismatic Titan

  • Required exotic: Heart of Inmost Light, Manticore SMG

Titans definitely feel like they've been hit with a nerf since the latest expansion, but this build will still carry you through PvE content with its suite of ways to earn overshields.

This is the kind of build that could feasibly carry streetwise players to flawless runs (not me, sadly). Using the Manticore while airborne, throwing your shield, or the Unbreakable move will give you more shields than you know what to do with, and you can create a slick Diamond Lance chain where you just keep dishing out damage, grabbing the lance, and repeating.

I'm still experimenting with a fun Consecration-based build which may end up replacing this one, but for now, it's pretty fun to charge headlong into mobs of bad guys.

  • Abilities: Twilight Arsenal, Rally Barricade, Strafe Lift, Shield Throw, Glacier Grenade
  • Aspects: Diamond Lance, Unbreakable
  • Fragments: Facet of Balance, Facet of Bravery, Facet of Courage, Facet of Protection, Facet of Purpose
  • Mods:
    • Head - Harmonic Siphon, Heavy Ammo Finder, Heavy Ammo Scout
    • Arms - Focusing Strike, Impact Induction, Momentum Transfer
    • Body - Concussive Dampener, Void Resistance, Solar Resistance
    • Legs - Void Weapon Surge x 2, Recuperation
    • Class Item - Bomber, Reaper, Powerful Attraction

Prismatic Warlock

  • Required exotic: Getaway Artist

Enjoying Song of Flame and want it more often? This build might be the one for you. I've usually leaned on Sunbracers for grenade spam, but this one might be just as viable since you can pretty consistently put out Arc Soul turrets.

This Warlock build also packs plenty of healing, and opportunities to go Transcendent as regularly as possible. You can create Arc and Solar turrets, unravel enemies with your Strand melee, and then get more and more grenades.

I may fine-tune things a little, but for now, this is the most fun I'm having with my Prismatic Warlock.

  • Abilities: Song of Flame, Phoenix Dive, Burst Glide, Arcane Needle, Storm Grenade
  • Aspects: Hellion, Feed the Void
  • Fragments: Facet of Awakening, Facet of Balance, Facet of Dominance, Facet of Hope, Facet of Protection
  • Mods:
    • Head - Strand Siphon, Ashes to Assets
    • Arms - Bolstering Detonation, Focusing Strike, Firepower
    • Body - Solar Resistance, Arc Resistance, Void Resistance
    • Legs - Absolution, Innervation, Invigoration
    • Class Item - Bomber, Reaper, Outreach

Let me know what you think of those builds - any of them should carry you through PvE content like Raids and Dungeons with relative ease.
