How to fast travel in Dead Island 2

Fast traveling in Dead Island 2 enables you to quickly zip around the undead-filled streets of Los Angeles, visiting the places you need to be in the City of Angels in a flash.
While the game is quite similar to its predecessor in terms of gameplay and structure - with a clear differentiation of the change in scenery from the island of Banoi - fast travel in Dead Island 2 allows for a bigger variety of locations for the six different Slayers to explore. How do you fast travel?
To fast travel, you need to head to fast travel maps, which are marked on the main map by a signpost icon in a diamond shape.
After interacting with the fast travel map, you will be able to select the region you want to travel to, along with the particular spot in the region you want to load in at. Additionally, you can also select whether it'll be day or night upon your arrival.
How does fast travel work?
You will need to unlock fast travel before you can use it. This is done by progressing past a certain part of the game and completing a main story quest called The Red Mist.
Once you arrive at the Venice Beach area after completing the section in the sewers, you will need to help out some survivors in the Blue Crab seafood restaurant. After clearing the parking lot for them, you will be allowed inside while a cutscene plays.
Once this cutscene ends, The Red Mist quest will finish, and you will have a short conversation with Emma Jaunt over the radio. Once the radio conversation ends, you will get a pop-up informing you that Dead Island 2 fast travel is now unlocked.
