Dead by Daylight Forged in Fog: The Knight
The Knight is the new Killer coming with this update. He is a character design straight out of Dark Souls, only even more gnarly looking. He is of average size and speed for a Killer, which is still quite large and imposing. His ability is unique and a lot of fun, he can summon minions to help him out. These apparitions can do some impressive things, they can patrol a designated area, they can damage generators, they can even chase and attack Survivors.
The Knight has three of these minions, which he can summon one at a time. Each of them has their own strengths, and they cycle in an order. Activating the summon ability allows you to move quickly around the map, painting a line as you go. Wherever you stop is where the minion will appear, and the line is where it will patrol. If a Survivor enters the circle around the minion, the minion will chase them down.
As well as this minion ability, the Knight has his own set of perks. These include Nowhere to HIde, which reveals the auras of all Survivors within 24 metres when you damage a generator. Hubris, which makes a Survivor Exposed for up to 20 seconds if they stun you. He also has a Hex perk called Face the Darkness. This activates when you injure a Survivor, and causes all Survivors outside of your terror radius to potentially scream for two seconds, revealing their locations. This perk can be activated multiple times, so long as their is a dull totem for you to hex.

Dead by Daylight Forged in Fog: New Survivor Vittorio Toscano
Vittorio is the new Survivor coming with this chapter. Vittorio was the third son of a wealthy Italian family in the 14th century. He was a scholar and a researcher in his day, studying ancient knowledge. During his expeditions, he hired a knight to work with him, who eventually turned on Vittorio and imprisoned him. During his captivity, Vittorio experimented with the ancient symbols he had discovered, until one day they transported him to another, much darker, realm.
Like all new Survivors, Vittorio brings three new perks to Dead by Daylight. The first is Potential Energy. This perk can be activated while repairing a generator, and is essentially a means to store generator repair progress. Instead of repairing, for a few seconds you will build up tokens, up to 20 of them. These tokens can then be stored and used later, to instantly repair a generator by 1% per stored token. Tokens remain until you use them, or until you lose a health state.
Fogwise is a very handy skill-based perk. Every time you hit a great skill check, the aura of the Killer is revealed to you for up to six seconds. Finally, Quick Gambit increases the repair speed of other Survivors within 24 metres by up to 8% while Vittorio is being chased.

Dead by Daylight Forged in Fog: New Map Shattered Square
Shattered Square is the name of the new map coming with the Forged in Fog update. It is a fittingly medieval map for the theme of the chapter. Buildings are old, but still of course fit the familiar layouts of Dead by Daylight structures. There are some new structures, and the antiquated nature of them means some buildings have large gaps in the walls that can be seen through.
Aethestically, the map is very ominous. A rusty red fog permeates the entire area, giving it a spooky haze. There are mutilated cattle and human corpses throughout, along with many old barrels, hay bales and market stalls.
The map is quite large, despite its appearance. The density of objects and structures make it feel even larger, but the long sightlines give visibility from longer distances, making it feel much smaller. The map culminates in its giant, imposing, castle-style gates.
That is everything for the Dead by Daylight Forged in Fog update. For more on the game, check out our Dead by Daylight tunnelling guide.
