How to reload in BattleBit Remastered
It's worth taking a look at our explanation of how reloading works in BattleBit Remastered, as it can be a little more complex than you'd think due to ammo consolidation.
BattleBit Remastered's low-poly, voxel-based graphics can be deceptive, as the game is far more hardcore than it actually looks. With massive maps and a player limit of 254 in a single match, there'll be a lot of chaos around during gameplay, so you'll want to ensure you have the basics nailed down.
So, for one of the most vital bits of information that you'll need to know, check out how reloading works in BattleBit Remastered.
How does reloading work?
While you can reload in BattleBit Remastered with the R key like any other first-person shooter, the mechanics of it are a little different.
Essentially, if you reload while you have remaining ammo in your magazine, it will be lost. This is another feature in some hardcore FPS games, but BattleBit Remastered changes things up a bit by letting you collect that ammo back, with a feature called consolidation.
What is ammo consolidation?
By holding the P key after reloading a magazine with ammo still inside, you can collect that ammo back and put it into your remaining magazines. This ensures you don't run out of ammo earlier than expected. If you reload an empty mag, you don't need to worry about consolidating ammo.
Because of the ammo consolidation mechanic, the game requires you to be a little more cautious about when you reload.
It's not the end of the world if you do reload before you intended too, but you'll need to be careful while consolidating so you don't get caught without your gun ready.
