How to get the Moonlight Blade in Armored Core 6
The Moonlight Blade returns yet again and makes an appearance in Armored Core 6, here is everything you need to know about it including how to find it.
The Moonlight Blade makes an appearance in Armored Core 6, as many Fromsoftware fans hoped it would. Armored Core 6 brings back this legendary greatsword that has appeared across many of the developer's worlds.
The Moonlight Blade has had many names, such as the Moonlight Greatsword, the Holy Moonlight Sword, and the Dark Moon Greatsword, but it appears in this game as the IA-C01W2 MOONLIGHT Light Wave Blade.
Here is how to get the Moonlight Blade in Armored Core 6, which mission it appears in, and where to find the chest that holds it.
Where is the Moonlight Blade?
The Moonlight Blade appears in Chapter 4, Mission 34: Reach the Coral Convergence. If you have already completed this mission do not worry, you can go back and replay the mission and it will still be there.
Play through the mission to the point where you must cross a giant suspension bridge. When you reach the destroyed end on the other side, look down to your left. You will see some enemy robots, the type that roll around and shoot flames at you. They can be tough, but you should take them out so you can get to the chest easily, and also to get their combat logs.
If you look at the enemies from the end of the bridge before attacking, you will notice four of them gathered around a chest on a slab of concrete. That chest contains the Moonlight Blade, so once they are dealt with, go there and open it.
You need to complete the mission to acquire the sword, so don't back out now. Finish the mission then head to your AC Assembly to equip the IA-C01W2 MOONLIGHT Light Wave Blade.

How strong is the Moonlight Blade in Armored Core 6?
The short answer is, that it is extremely powerful. If you have played any amount of Armored Core 6, certainly if you are as far as Chapter 4, then you will know that melee weapons are among the best in the game. They do high damage and are great for staggering bosses.
The Moonlight Blade is perhaps the strongest melee weapon in the game, certainly among them. The regular attack is a two-hit combo that hits at range. A common trait of the Moonlight sword throughout Fromsoftware games is that it fires out a projectile when you swing it, like a moody Master Sword.
This is true of the Armored Core 6 Moonlight blade, which fires two arcing projectiles over a great distance. If you are quick, you can target a second enemy between the swings and hit two enemies with one volley.
The charge attack is a slightly shorter-range, wide-arcing attack that can hit many enemies at once. Charge this thing up, and it will slice through every enemy in front of you.
