Crafting Metals in Apex Legends are the key to unlocking all of your favourite cosmetics without shelling out a bunch of real-life money. Crafting Metals aren't a premium Apex Legends currency either, so you can't buy them outright; you have to collect them through a slew of different methods. So, if you're in the market for Skins, Finishers, Quips, or other cosmetics, here's how to get Crafting Metals in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends Crafting Metals Explained

Alongside Apex Coins and Legend Tokens, Crafting Metals are one of Apex's premier currencies. Crafting Metals are hugely sought-after, as they can be used to unlock nearly all of the cosmetic items in Apex Legends. There's no luck or RNG involved, either. As long as you have enough Crating Metals, you can handpick the Skin, Finisher, etc. that you want.

Crafting Metals come in a variety of rarities:

  • Common – 15 Crafting Metals
  • Rare – 30 Crafting Metals
  • Epic – 200 Crafting Metals
  • Legendary – 600 Crafting Metals

When it comes to unlocking cosmetics with Apex Legends Crafting Metals, expect to pay the following prices:

  • Common items – 30 Crafting Metals
  • Rare items – 60 or 160 Crafting Metals
  • Epic items –  400 or 800 Crafting Metals
  • Legendary items – 1,200 or 2,400 Crafting Metals

How To Get Crafting Metals In Apex Legends: Apex Packs

The primary method of obtaining Crafting Metals is through Apex Packs. As you ascend levels in Apex Legends, you'll periodically receive Apex Packs as a reward. With the Apex Legends new level cap in Apex Legends Season 14: Hunted, there are more Apex Packs than ever to collect. Alternatively, Apex Packs can be had via Treasure Packs, free Prize Tracks from special in-game events like the Apex Legends Summer Showdown Event, and the Seasonal Battle Pass. And if that's not enough, you can buy Apex Packs outright in the Store for Apex Coins.

Not only do Treasure Packs sometimes include Apex Packs, but they also occasionally contain Crafting Metals. Treasure Packs originated in Season 5 with the Apex Legends Broken Ghost Season Quest. Log in each day and loot supply bins for a chance at a Treasure Pack. If you miss a day or two of Treasure Packs, you can catch up in exchange for Apex Coins.

How To Get Crafting Metals In Apex Legends: Prize Tracks

Most major Apex Legends events feature a free Prize Track. Sometimes, the Prize Track will include bundles of Crafting Metals as rewards along the track. Complete challenges and earn points during these limited-time events to acquire extra Crafting Metals.

How To Get Crafting Metals In Apex Legends: Battle Pass

Apex's seasonal Battle Passes offer all sorts of goodies like Character and Weapon Skins, Skydive Emotes, Trackers, and even Crafting Metals. In fact, inside each Battle Pass is a whopping 1,200 Crafting Metals up for grabs. While Apex Legends Battle Passes offer free and premium rewards, keep in mind that Crafting Metals are only available on the premium track.

That concludes the list of ways to get Crafting Metals in Apex Legends. Save up enough Crafting Metals, and you can unlock essentially whichever Apex Legends cosmetics you desire.

Heirlooms are one of the few items you cannot unlock with Crafting Metals. Find out how to get Heirlooms in Apex Legends.
