  • Battle Sense tells us when enemies are within 50 meters
  • There are visual and audio cues that tell you when they are close

The Battle Sense system in Apex Legends' Solos is your best friend for staying aware, and alive, so you'll need to know how it works with the mode returning for a limited time in Season 21.

Battle Sense is a brand new system, like Respawn Tokens, that exists to help you keep track of what's going on in the game without teammates to back you up - so here's what you need to know about it.

What is Battle Sense?

Battle Sense is an exclusive feature in Solos play, which gives the player both visual and audio indications when an opponent is nearby. Specifically, if an enemy player is within 50 meters of your current location.

Once you get within range of an enemy, you'll hear a noise and a notification will appear on the left side of the screen.

This system exists to make up for the fact that you don't have a team to back you up and call out enemy players they see. As such, it's only available in Solos mode, and you can't use it in Trios. It'll take some getting used to, so be sure to make an effort to notice when Battle Sense activates.

Watch for the pop-up on the left side of the screen telling you when enemies are near. It appears with an audio cue, so try to train your brain to recognise that sound. Before too long, you should be hearing that sound and instinctively knowing what it means. It's a really useful tool once you get the hang of it, so be sure to keep it in mind until it becomes second nature.
