After six weeks of skirting through the narrow streets of Old Town, crossing the plains in Hadida Farms, and dolphin diving off Nahr Boathouse for save passage down to Al Abboud Condos, players are finally beginning to see the truth about Urzikstan.
The new map comes as the second large-scale battleground in the Warzone sequel and the fourth landscape that we've had in both iterations of the battle royale combined.
But after just a few weeks, players are writing it off, edging it further down the rankings toward Caldera, rather than up towards Verdansk where it wanted to be.
Warzone players call for Urikstan to have more 'hot drops'
Back in Verdansk, Warzone games were all about your landing spot; It was a decision not taken lightly as Atlas Superstore served as a nucleus for the entire map, attracting the most daring players, while the action then reverberated towards POIs on the outskirts.
But in Urzikstan, players are claiming there is not a hub for this type of opening skirmish and it is deteriorating from the gameplay.
Popular Warzone streamer Kris "Swagg" Lamberson pointed this out with a tweet on January 15, saying, "[The] current map has no hot drops."
Warzone players are calling for a Superstore-like POI
"I feel nothing when I drop, except emptiness until I see a bounty. Up the loot in certain places, I need a superstore vibe," continued Swagg.
The tweet resonated with other players too. One fan claimed that the map is great, but it has no "trademark" POI which spices up your routes.
"Tons of interesting areas of the map, but no trademark POIs (like Superstore or Prison)," said NBA talk show host Kevin O'Connor, who enjoys a good drop into the BR from time to time.
Others pointed out that a new POI such as the LTM Nakatomi Plaza crossover, which was deployed in Verdansk, could be the route to go.
Either way, more action is that call, and it's on Raven Software to answer.
