Warzone Night

We've been a little tired of seeing Modern Warfare's palette of greys and browns, but the new Halloween update to Warzone's Vondel map is a very pleasant surprise.

The new Zombie Royale map variant takes the urban sprawl and retrofits it with a haunting skybox, less lighting, and a much more unsettling vibe.

Warzone's lastest LTM revealed as a Vondel nighttime variant

After the opening week of Warzone Season 6 saw hell break loose, literally, over Warzone's Rebirth island (with a freakish floating Shipment in the Purgatory mode), the next LTM will continue the spooks.

However, Vondel Night will soon be taking over, as the Zombie Royale mode will become available.

"Though visibility is good, and the city’s infrastructure is still intact allowing ground-level illumination, the undead terrors awaiting you across Vondel are an additional concern as you battle through the night," reads the Call of Duty blog.

After a first animated look at the mode though, players are now demanding even more of this haunting palette.

CoD players demand more nighttime maps amid Vondel's The Haunting variant

With the nighttime map already looking promising, players have now called for the variant to translate to Rebirth Island too and have both in a rotating playlist.

"They should honesty have maps rotate like reg BR js get to enjoy both," one fan argued.

Others called for this to be carried over to Zombies. "Now this is what Liberty Falls should have looked like or at least atmosphere-wise," a second fan said.

Terminus will have a nighttime look though, which might be more up their street.

A third fan doubled down on this, saying it would have been the perfect opportunity to add more actual Modern Warfare 3 Zombies action, rather than half-measures.

Still, the resurgence battle royale mode has stayed prominent, and its likely this Vondel Night variant could be one of the most popular LTMs in recent memory.
