Warzone Mobile’s lobby size leaves PC and console in the dust

Warzone fans on PC and console can't believe that Warzone Mobile will feature 120 player lobbies while their matches are capped at 100 players.

The number of players in a Warzone match has a massive impact on the gameplay and pacing for every competitor involved. As you would expect, a higher number of enemies means more opportunities to rack up kills and significantly more action straight after the drop.

That's exactly why so many members of the Warzone community have been calling on the devs to increase lobby sizes on PC and console. For them, returning to the glory days of Verdansk's 150 would be brilliant. Meanwhile, there's the cap of 100-player lobbies that's currently in place.

Well, Warzone Mobile's decision to release with 120-player lobbies has angered many players in the main game. Namely, they don't understand why their matches continue to have fewer competitors.

For a lot of Warzone fans, WZ Mobile as a whole just feels like Activision is rubbing salt in the wound, with the alternate version of the Battle Royale launching with Verdansk and increased lobby sizes.

Instead of the typical 100 players that PC and console gamers have to deal with in Urzikstan, WZ Mobile is coming out of the gates on March 21 with 120-player lobbies.

This has been a feature those on the main game have been requesting for countless months, so seeing it on Warzone Mobile just proves that they're being ignored (in their eyes).

Of course, with rumours that Verdansk will be returning to PC and console in 2024, larger lobbies could arrive then, but nothing has been confirmed.

Warzone PC & console fans are in disbelief that Mobile will have bigger lobbies

As showcased by CharlieINTEL, the reaction from the PC and console community toward WZ Mobile's bigger lobbies has been one of frustration and anger.

"120 Players for Mobile Phones, 100 Players for Consoles and PCs... Make that make sense," said one user, with another arguing, "It's mad how they give mobile everything we want, but we're stuck with Warzone 3, Ashika Island, and Vondel."

Only time will tell how Warzone Mobile will go about dealing with cheaters and server issues, but so far ahead of release, the on-the-go title is ticking all the boxes to please players.

This isn't the case for console and PC, with those from the main game now considering putting down the controller and picking up their phone the next they fancy some BR action.
