The Dark Knight is tipped to spread his wings once again in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, with Kevin Conroy apparently having recorded a tonne more dialogue before his tragic passing in 2022. Despite the legacy of Conroy, the divisiveness of Kill the Justice League is sure to make his return controversial.

More than just voicing Batman in Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy, Conroy's legacy as the Caped Crusader goes all the way back to the acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series from 1992. This continued into a number of DC Animated Universe outings, the Injustice games, and MultiVersus.

Kevin Conroy's Batman will apparently return in Kill the Justice League

According to Miller Ross, multiple sources have claimed that Conroy recorded more dialogue before his death. The plan is for Batman to return in one of the post-release seasons, with Season 4 sounding like the big one. Ross claims Bruce Wayne will be rescued from a Medieval-themed Elseworlds.

Following the events of the game living up to its "Kill the Justice League" namesake, players will remember a brainwashed Batman executed by Harley Quinn. This was one of the game's most divisive moments, with some feeling like it was a desecration of the character and Conroy's time in the cape and cowl.

Ross goes on to say that Kill the Justice League's seasons will bring over members of the Justice League from across the Multiverse, having the team reform to take on Brainiac. While it's always good to know there's potentially more from Conroy, there are obvious fears it'll be another disappointment to his legacy.

End of the line

Bruce Wayne as Batman in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

We've previously heard about one of Kill the Justice League's seasons taking us back to Bruce's old stomping ground of Gotham City, although Ross suggests Batman's return will be in Metropolis. Rocksteady pitched us multiple seasons for Kill the Justice League, but Ross claims things aren't working out.

It's no secret that KTJL struggled in terms of sales and critical reception, although the recent release of Season 1 was supposed to breathe new life into the title. Instead, the Joker could be getting the last laugh, as Ross maintains Season 1 has done little to reinvigorate the fanbase.

Now, Kill the Justice League is poised to end after Season 5, reforming the Justice League and having them stop Brainiac's Multiversal madness. While this sounds like a suitably epic arc worth of Rocksteady's Arkhamverse, there's the small problem of Kill the Justice League being an underwhelming looter shooter.
