Snoop Dogg Could Be Droppin' Hot in Warzone

In perhaps the strangest new DLC addition yet, it looks like Snoop Dogg is about to enter the fight in Warzone.

Celebrity cameos aren't entirely new to the Call of Duty franchise, but they've hardly aged well.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare heavily featured the performance and likeness of disgraced actor Kevin Spacey, and Black Ops: Cold War's heavy inclusion of American president Ronald Reagan rubbed a lot of players the wrong way, and reminded a lot of players that, oh yeah, the game that celebrates war isn't exactly the most kind of video games.

But, the franchise's cameos and appearances are at their best when they're incredibly silly, and while the debate is most certainly out on how a potential Snoop Dogg appearance will age, it looks like Warzone is about to steer into silliness all over again.

Snoop Dogg Might Be Coming To Warzone

According to industry insiders and a series of leaks, it looks like legendary Hip-Hop artist and owner of Death Row Records Snoop Dogg could be making his Caldera debut in Warzone.

A leaked player model for an in-game operator, presumably set to come to both Warzone and Vanguard shows the likeness of Snoop, shared on Twitter by ZestyLeaks.

The skin seems to be treading the line between the modernity of Caldera as well as the styles of the battlefield in World War 2, to make sure that he makes sense to be in both titles, but even so - it's Snoop Dogg.

Though sillier than the recent Attack on Titan operator drop, this is incredibly welcome, as it's about time that Call of Duty stopped taking itself so seriously.

But, interestingly, this isn't the first time that Snoop Doggy Dogg has appeared in a Call of Duty game.

Snoop Dogg Has Been In Call Of Duty Before

This isn't Snoop Dogg's first venture onto the battlefield, as he actually appeared in Call of Duty: Ghosts as a DLC announcer. The small cheap microtransactions offered a change to the in-game announcer, and joining a Drill Officer as a new voice-over. The voice came as a part of the typically-named Blunt Force personalization pack, which also came with a weapon camo of a whole bunch of weed leaves. Naturally.

Snoop Dogg's addition to Vanguard and Warzone is certainly welcome, as the game could do with a lot more fun right now. Silliness is the key to this so the nonsensical nature of adding the rap legend to the game is absolutely perfect. The king returns.
