In the lead up to the Apex Legends Year 4 Split 1 Playoffs, the expectations were that North America would continue their dominance over LAN.

Teams like TSM and DarkZero have been so consistently strong that it's always a mistake to count them out when the pressure is on.

DZ's trio of Rhys "Zer0" Perry, Nichola "Sikezz" Odom and Noyan "Genburten" Ozkose were tearing up the competition throughout the Playoffs, and it felt like they were primed to add yet another piece of silverware to their trophy case.

However, dark horse REJECT WINNITY had other ideas, making history by becoming the first ever representative from APAC North to win a LAN.

REJECT WINNITY take home crown at ALGS Split 1 Playoffs

REJECT WINNITY have done it, the APAC North team have become the first-ever squad from their region to win an Apex Legends LAN.

Putting up an incredible performance, the team used their signature Wattson pick to lock down power positions and control space against the best Apex competitors in the world.

The well-deserved victory opens up a lot of questions for future events as it's now been proven that North America can bleed.

Walking home with $300,000 worth of prize money, you have to imagine REJECT WINNITY's taste of victory will have them eyeing up the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs.

With DarkZero stumbling at the final hurdle and TSM having a disappointing showing overall, it's hard to imagine they won't return with vengeance in mind for Split 2 Playoffs. There's also powerhouses from Europe like Aurora, NAVI, and Alliance to keep tabs on as well.

However, both NA and EU will have to watch their backs, as APAC North have made it very clear they've came to play in Year 4.
