Nintendo Europe has filed three public trademarks for PokéPark titles, hinting at a potential future for Pokemon theme parks.
After recently announcing a PokéPark in Japan, players are hopeful that the trademarks could mean more Pokemon attractions are on their way.
Pokemon theme parks have been trademarked in Europe
Earlier in the week, it was announced that a Pokemon theme park, called PokéPark Kanto, will be opening in Japan.
Since then, three trademarks have been discovered which were filed by Nintendo Europe for additional PokéPark’s, namely PokéPark Kalos, PokéPark Paldea and PokéPark Galar.
While nothing has been confirmed, people are speculating that the Kalos and Paldea parks could be in Spain and France, as Paldea and Kalos are heavily inspired by those countries respectively.
PokéPark Galar will seemingly be in the United Kingdom.
The trademarks were discovered by serebii, who wrote: “Following the reveal of PokéPark Kanto last night, new trademarks have been published by Nintendo in Europe.
“These trademarks are for PokéPark Kalos and PokéPark Paldea. Currently it's unclear if these trademarks will be used for anything or if they are just placeholders but we'll provide further details as they come.
“The trademark for PokéPark Galar has also been filed in the UK”
It is important to remember that a trademark being filed doesn’t mean anything will happen, and there is every chance that the current PokéPark filings could just be placeholders.
That said, it is still exciting to think that Pokemon theme parks could be coming to Europe at some point in the near future, even if they are just hypothetical right now.
