If you felt scorned by your favourites not being included in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, then the upcoming Treasures of Area Zero DLC might have you covered.

Lots of new content and updates were announced during the Pokemon World Championships, but perhaps one of the most exciting tidbits comes in the form of the available starters in the new DLC.

Long-time fans will be able to engage in some classic nostalgia, and new Pokemon lovers will be able to see what they missed all those years ago.

All starter Pokemon return for Treasures of Area Zero

You heard that right - every single starter Pokemon that has appeared in previous mainline games will be available in the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC, which is fantastic news for new and old players alike.

This includes the iconic original three Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, alongside all of the other introductory pocket monsters that we all fell in love with when playing. It's true that we all have a fondness for our very first Pokemon, so it is great to see that they will all be available to pick up in the new DLC.

While Pokemon HOME has been an excellent tool to bring your past favourites into the new era - especially now that it supports Scarlet and Violet - it does have its limits, and not every single Pokemon is able to be transferred. That is where a move like this is perfect, allowing so many more options and combinations if you're looking to build your dream team.

New moves revealed for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC

Alongside the big starter Pokemon reveal, it was also announced that a few new moves would be coming to the Treasures of Area Zero DLC. Psychic Noise looks to be one of the strongest additions, giving players the opportunity to prevent target healing which is always a pain to deal with.

Furthermore, moves like Upper Hand (strike before a target's priority move) and Taychon Cutter (hit twice in a row) will give you the upper hand in most instances, and could be your ticket to defeating the toughest does in the game. Those Scarlet & Violet DLCs are shaping up nicely.
