Putting it politely, most people hate the GTA Trilogy. While there was so much hype for 2021 versions of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, it appears the blockbuster bundle has been crushed under its own weight. Still, it could be too early to completely write off the trilogy - some players think they've spotted a GTA 6 tease inside the titles.
There are problems galore when it comes to the latest entry in the GTA franchise. Alongside giant ghost cars, graphical disasters, and the game being removed from PC, others are already demanding a refund. The GTA Trilogy is earning the title of being this year's Cyberpunk 2077, so it's not exactly going well. Can a GTA 6 tease make the troubled trilogy worth it?
What Is The GTA 6 Teaser?
We'd like to clarify at this point, we don't exactly think there's a GTA 6 teaser hidden in the GTA Trilogy. That doesn't mean it has stopped tin foil theorists from guessing this is a hint at what's to come. First appearing on the GTA Forum, players noticed an odd picture at San Andreas' Lil' Probe Inn.
Gamers claim there's "an unidentified house amongst the UFO photo display", however, they can't seem to figure out where it's from. Unless you know something the rest of us don't, the mystery house hasn't appeared in any previous GTA game. Others have trawled the internet and say it's also not a stock photo. Putting two and two together and getting twelve, some believe it's a GTA 6 teaser.
When the idea blew up on Twitter, gamers shared their own musings on what this could or couldn't be. "If I'm correct this is deffo a house that looks from Florida, so maybe it is a tease for GTA 6 since they say it will be in Miami aka Vice City," said one. Another added, "I deadass think it could be gta 6 but I highly doubt GSGames would have any info on it. So why would they place a picture of it in the remaster?"
When Will We Know More About GTA 6?
We're not buying that this is a GTA 6 teaser, and as rightly pointed out, the GTA Trilogy was handled by Grove Street Games rather than Rockstar. Given that Grove Street is based in Gainesville Flordia, it's likely this is just an Easter egg to the company's HQ. Alas, another GTA 6 trilogy debunked.
The years rumble on and we've still got no word on GTA 6. Pretty much every week, there's a new potential Easter egg or Vice City map that's debunked. Perhaps our biggest hope at the moment is the upcoming GTA V Expanded & Enhanced.
With the spruced up game promising to offer more than just a graphics boost to the 2013 blockbuster, fans are hoping the "expanded" element could give a real tease of GTA 6. For the time being, we're back to trawling through the GTA Trilogy and the Expanded & Enhanced trailer for some more clues!
