OpTic Gaming
The two iconic brands of Envy and OpTic Gaming have previously been fierce rivals. It was a rivalry forged in Call of Duty esports before seeping out and into Halo, Counter-Strike, and League of Legends.
However, the two organisations are now one, having merged to allow the OpTic brand to have a home in the CDL, and it now appears that the Green Wall is taking over Envy's more successful teams.
VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 3 Masters runners-up, Team Envy, is set to rebrand to OpTic Gaming, as the boys in blue are now sporting a smart emerald and obsidian-coloured VALORANT jersey.
OpTic Leak VALORANT Jerseys Ahead of Envy Rebrand
Team Envy's 2021 campaign saw the roster undergo a range of changes, on and off the field, until a winning recipe was formed. The late addition of Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker and Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen (on loan from FaZe Clan) helped propel the organisation into a top-two finish in Masters 3, Berlin. Their back-room staff was also rejigged with Chet "Chet" Singh replacing Michael "Mikes" Hockom.
Despite the constant swapping and changing, Team Envy have settled, and are choosing to stick together as a unit even after underperforming at Champions.
Now, going into the 2022 season, it appears that a new set of stripes is to be sported, as the VALORANT roster becomes the third Envy team to fall under the OpTic brand.
While no official announcement of OpTic's entrance into VALORANT has been made, their online store has been updated to include a sold-out VALORANT jersey, boasting the typical obsidian black colours highlighted with a white stroke and emerald outlines typical of OpTic Gaming. Oh, and a huge OpTic Gaming logo is slapped on the back.
The jersey itself is a replica of the official OpTic Gaming Halo top, however, images surfaced on the website of the strip being sported by both Marved and Victor "Victor" Wong. The leaked kit has now been removed from the website.

Which Teams Will Envy Have Left?
Should the rebrand of Envy's VALORANT team come to fruition before their VCT 2022 season kicks off on February 11, it would mean that Envy's Call of Duty, Halo, and VALORANT rosters will all appear with OpTic's iconic Green Wall colours.
It appears quite apparent that the content creation sides of the brands will remain separate, having seen Envy launch their all-female streamer house. The Overwatch team of Dallas Fuel look set to continue with their franchised brand, while Envy are left with their Rocket League roster, and competitive teams in Super Smash Bros. and Magic: The Gathering.
Whether they are OpTic Gaming or Envy, the VALORANT roster will kick off their venture in the Stage 1 Challengers against Rise on February 13, as they look to progress through a group consisting of Version1 and Sentinels - both of who are accustomed to the world stage.
