Fans have been waiting too long for the Halo Infinite co-op campaign to arrive. In many ways, it's the biggest glaring flaw of Infinite that so much of its content - that realistically should have come packaged into the game at launch - is trickling out bit by bit.
It's either a case of being unfinished at launch or a knowing attempt to maintain engagement over time. Both options are pretty weak form from 343 Industries, but either way, fans are disappointed that they've had to wait around so long for Halo Infinite to feel like a finished product.
Has The Halo Infinite Co-Op Campaign Been Delayed?
There are more problems than the average title that adopts the season structure of a multiplayer. After promises that the co-op campaign was coming soon, its release date is now up in the air. Fans were reassured that the mode would be coming a couple of days ago, with its tests "targeted to run from the week of July 11."
It was suggested that we could expect the mode this week - but 343 Industries could have missed the boat. Despite this, and fans growing irritated, 343's Community Director for Halo Brian Jarrard has shared an update.
"PSA: The team is still working on our upcoming #HaloInfinite network co-op insider flight build," says Jarrard on Twitter. "While we always said our 'target was the week of July 11', many sites reported it simply as 'starting July 11.' Still hoping for this week, but it will not start today." As you can imagine, the game's fandom is suitably up in arms about the whole debacle.
Halo's Community Director Apologises To Fans
Jarrard continues in his thread, offering an apology to those who were looking forward to the flight launching this week. "Apologies to folks who expected the flight today - we're eager to get this into your hands but we also want to ensure it's a positive and worthwhile flight experience. Still targeting this week but it's day by day as work continues. Ty for your patience and understanding."
One critic raged, "A flight test for a staple feature that should be in the game at launch... What next? Bruh i hate modern gaming...," while another added, "When I was like 12 playing Halo Reach thinking about what future halo games would be like I never expected this." Halo Infinite is still in need of a lot of updating, but at least we have some kind of update - despite the many pushbacks and disappointment for fans. Co-op is still on the way, but we're just going to have to wait a hot minute.

Playing Halo 2 in third-person makes it better than ever
When you think of Halo you most likely categorise it as a first-person shooter, which makes sense since that is exactly what it is. At least, it was until modders shone a whole new light on Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, allowing players to experience Halo in the third person.
