It's fair to say Nintendo has been quiet for some time now, as it appears to be gearing up to reveal its brand-new console very soon. It's a shame to see the Switch go, but as it reaches the end of its presumed life cycle, it feels like it's time to say farewell to the console that carried the company to new successes.
Nintendo isn't done with us just yet, though, as we're set to get a whole new presentation that will reveal some fresh titles - and it's set to occur incredibly soon.
Nintendo reveals new Indie World showcase
Nintendo has revealed that a brand-new Indie World direct is on the way, and it's coming incredibly soon. The news comes via a tweet from the official NintendoEurope Twitter account, revealing that the event will be taking place at 16:00 CEST (that's 3pm UK time) onΒ April 17.
The showcase is set to introduce players to games that are yet to be released in 2024, and fans have taken this to mean one thing - if Hollow Knight Silksong is revealed, it'll be with us before the year is out.
Hollow Knight fans are begging for a Silksong reveal
The news comes right as an ESRB rating has appeared online for Hollow Knight's long-awaited sequel has appeared online, revitalising hopes that an announcement could be coming soon - and the responses to the tweet have shown just how ready fans are to see the next chapter in the Hollow Knight story.
Only time will tell if the game will appear, with one camp claiming that Team Cherry's self-publishing could make it eligible to appear at the Indie World showcase. Another insists that the game is simply too big at this stage to appear. Regardless, we'll be finding out in only 24 hours.
