After eight months away from the Call of Duty franchise, Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff has announced that he will be returning to Warzone on February 7. It's all in time for the debut of Season 2.

NICKMERCS has not set foot on the Warzone dropship since his Operator skin was removed amid controversial LGBTQ+ comments made online back in June 2023.

But Kolcheff's boycott appears to be over, as he has now confirmed that he will be landing back into the game this week.

NICKMERCS announces Warzone return

NICKMERCS' Call of Duty history stems back over a decade, as the now-famous battle royale streamer honed his FPS skills through old CoDs, competing in Search and Destroy tournaments on the now-defunct Gamebattles platform.

But after a boycott which also pulled away the likes of Herschel "Dr Disrespect" Beahm, amid the LGBTQ+ controversy, NICKMERCS has taken to social media to reveal that he will be back on the game for Warzone Season 2.

The former Warzone mogul took to Twitter to simply say, "tomorrow," with an accompanying Warzone image. The now-Kick streamer will likely be returning to Warzone alongside Tim "TimTheTatman" Betar, who tweeted, "We're so back."

Will NICKMERCS' skin return to Warzone too?

Nick might be getting suited and booted with a Modern Warfare 3 loadout for the first time, and also using his own Operator skin, which is still equippable for those who purchased it before it was reneged. Still, it seems unlikely that Call of Duty will be putting the Operator back in the store.

The converted Apex Legends pro claims that his stance on the teaching of LGBTQ+ acceptance in schools is still blocking him from advancing in gaming, recently saying that the CoD drama is the reason he is not being invited to ALGS Pro-League events.

Those who will be tuning in to watch NICKMERCS drop back into Warzone will now have to do so on Kick after he made the switch from Twitch earlier this year, where he will undoubtedly address the timing for his return.
