Map vote trolling is back in Modern Warfare 3 and it's already causing a lot of frustration with fans having to play Estate on repeat.

The Modern Warfare 3 Beta has given Call of Duty fans a chance to dive onto the OG MW2 (2009) maps in remastered form, test out the new weapons, as well as all the exciting killstreaks.
One of the most anticipated features of Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer was the ability to vote for specific maps ahead of a match.
This gives the community more freedom than ever and ensures popular maps get selected on a regular basis. Of course, this has also led to the return of map vote trolling. Players are forcing lobbies to select the Estate map, and then backing out.
Map vote trolling is back in Modern Warfare 3
As showcased by xFleXy on Twitter, it's possible to map vote troll in Modern Warfare 3 and force the lobby to play a certain map over and over.
The process involves the trolls getting a large group of teammates together and all voting for the worst map.
Then, they wait for the map to get locked in, before leaving the lobby and forcing the rest of the competitors to play that map. In the MW3 Beta, this usually comes in the form of forcing lobbies to play Estate, as it's by far the most disliked location.
How to fix map vote trolling in Modern Warfare 3
The only way to fix map vote trolling in Modern Warfare 3 would be to make it so that once a location is locked in, no one can leave the lobby.
This would force competitors to at least enter a match, rather than giving them the option to troll with no consequences. However, at the end of the day, every OG MW2 (2009) map has fans, even the likes of Derail and Underpass.
So, while map vote trolls are annoying, it's unlikely to become a widespread issue once MW3 launches. Just think, it could always be worse. Someone could force you to play Santa Sena Border Crossing on repeat.
