Modern Warfare 3 fans are calling on the developers to return 'missing' maps to multiplayer.

Despite fears that Modern Warfare 3 would grow weary and tiresome given that the entire map pool was based on a game we've already spent years playing, the general consensus is that the remastered landscapes are still entertaining.

That was until the Call of Duty maps mysteriously started disappearing, and Sledgehammer's own original (and appreciated) new designs started cropping up in the post-launch seasons.

The Houdini-mimicking maps are now being yearned for again, as players take to social media to plead that the likes of Estate will emerge from behind their invisibility cloak.

MW3 players call for 'missing' maps to come back

The "missing" maps in Modern Warfare 3 have been a problem for some time, as players have often asked why places like Estate and Underpass have seemingly been deleted. Taking to Reddit, MW3's loyal fans are now asking why they have disappeared and calling for their return.

"Why can't they just leave the maps in and rotate around? I'm tired of these zombie-like remakes and Toon versions of the same maps! It just sucks!!" one fan argued.

"I miss playing Underpass and Sub Base, I can’t even remember the last time I’ve played on these maps," added another. The maps aren't listed in game modes like Hardpoint or Domination but can appear in Search in Destroy.

"I don’t like when maps get pulled out of rotation," said a third player. "I believe every map should be available equally, especially the classic ones, since they were one of the main selling points of this game in the first place."

Modern Warfare 3 players want more MW2 remasters

If the map pool wasn't already critiqued enough, there have now been calls for even more to arrive in the form of the MW2 (2022) catalogue, which has yet to be added.

The likes of Crown Raceway and Breenbergh Hotel were added to playlists months ago, but now, others like Farm 18, Embassy, and Museum are being championed. With Black Ops 6 on the horizon, it's looking bleak for the Modern Warfare 3 stans, although Sledgehammer Games is gaining a reputation for listening to its fans' deepest desires.
