Out of all the games in the long history of Call of Duty, there's one that gets regularly labelled as the worst of the bunch.

We're, of course, talking about CoD: Ghosts, the 2013 title that was met with disappointment and frustration from the community immediately after release. Not every aspect of Ghosts was hated, though, with some of the multiplayer elements being looked back upon fondly by fans.

There's even a Ghosts kill streak that Modern Warfare 2 players are keen to bring back as an Operator, and it would definitely make for an incredible skin.

MW2 players call for Ghosts Maniac killstreak Operator

The Juggernaut Maniac was a killstreak from Call of Duty: Ghosts that required a 10-point streak to earn and was dropped down in a Care Package.

Players could then equip the Maniac armour that provided them with a Combat Knife as well as a Throwing Knife. Unlike a typical Juggernaut, Maniac enhanced your movement and gave you unlimited sprint, but your health didn't regenerate.

While the suit was undeniably powerful, it's the appearance of the armour that MW2 fans are interested in bringing back. Taking to the ModernWarfareII Reddit, user Stunning_Way7599 argued, "The Maniac Killstreak from Cod Ghost would be such a good operator skin."

With Ghosts' 10-year anniversary in November, a Maniac Operator skin would be a great way to pay homage to the title and give fans a hit of nostalgia. The design of the suit is absolutely incredible and would likely garner attention from those who didn't play Ghosts back in the day.

Will MW3 bring back any Ghosts killstreaks?

With MW3's release date finally being revealed as November 10, 2023, some fans are keen to see Maniac and other Ghost streaks make a return.

Unfortunately, given Ghosts' poor reputation in the CoD community, this seems incredibly unlikely, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Either way, a Maniac Operator skin seems like a free hit for Activision, especially for drawing in fans who prefer the modern Mil-Sim theme.
