You’d think that Mr Beast’s main channel videos would be raking in the big bucks.

The philanthropist and YouTube superstar has long been producing the most out-there and bonkers videos on the internet, from his iconic Squid Game video to his whopping hide-and-seek adventures across the United States, fans have been following his bizarre antics with such fervour that you’d think he’d at least be turning a profit with his biggest events.

But he’s revealed that this presumption couldn’t be further from the truth.

Mr Beast reveals huge losses on his main channel

Mr Beast has started to offer his Twitter subscribers insights into the statistics for his channels, and he has recently revealed that his most recent video didn’t even slightly match its budget.

The budget for the newest video was $3 million (a whopping sum to finance a YouTube video, but when it comes to Mr Beast, this is par for the course) and a new look at his YouTube analytics, shared by Muaaz, has shown that the new video made only $167,000 of that back in the first week.

It’s a silly amount of money, of course, but when compared, this is a pretty rough collapse in cost vs profit. Who knew it was possible for Mr Beast to actually lose money?

How does Mr Beast make his money?

This revelation has left many fans confused - how, then, can Mr Beast actually finance his videos? Well, it seems that the brand of Mr Beast itself is profitable overall, as he has gone on record stating that his other channels, Feastables and other side hustles have helped to fund the absurd, bigger-each-time main channel videos.

It’s truly wild that Mr Beast can keep up these huge stakes when it comes to his main channel, but he’s so incredibly popular away from his main channel that he can somehow make it work. We can’t relate.
