The remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, dubbed Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, could be delayed until 2025 according to a report from Dealabs.

billbil-kun, a leaker with a proven track record of everything from PlayStation Plus games to last night's State of Play, says a source has advised them that the game will launch next year.

Snake Eater remake may be delayed to 2025

billbil-kun does caveat by saying this was information from a single source and was not corroborated with a second, and may stem from a placeholder release date of December 31, 2025 - although the report doesn't say who this 'global distribution giant' is.

billbil-kun also notes that this would contradict PlayStation's own information which hailed the title as one of "the most anticipated games of 2024" in the video above.

According to the report, we may not have too much longer to wait to find out either way. billbil-kun suggests an announcement "will take place within the next 10 days" (via Google Translate), with a potential date of June 6 (Thursday). The report also indicates pre-orders will go live immediately after the announcement.

Capping off the supposed leak is confirmation of physical versions of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, with a standard edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for $69.99, while a collector's edition will apparently retail for $199.99 - although the latter's contents aren't known yet.
