PlayStation's migration to PC has been relatively smooth - if you discount the recent kick-off. The drip-feed of PlayStation exclusives to PC players has been a treat for all involved, bringing the likes of Spider-Man, Horizon, and now Ghost of Tsushima to new players.
Despite the ongoing debacle over Helldivers 2's mandatory connection to a PS account that was recently rolled back, the push has been a great success so far. Now, leaks suggest that more great news is on the way for those trying to tick through the PlayStation library on their PC.
Insider claims God of War Ragnarok is coming to PC very soon
Dealabs claims that the next game to make the leap from PlayStation to PC is God of War Ragnarok, following its predecessor, which joined PC in 2022. This defies rumours that The Last of Us Part 2 would be the next game to join the Steam library, though many had already debunked that anyway.
The Dealabs article adds that the game will potentially be revealed at some point this month (May), though they don't explain exactly why this is. At least they added that the announcement could come as part of a PlayStation Showcase, meaning that we might be in for a lot more announcements this month.
If we find out that there's a May Showcase, fingers crossed for Ragnarok's PC port. Take the news with a pinch of salt, as it's hard to gauge exactly where this information has come from. Still, it matches the release schedule of PlayStation's games on Steam.
Staff members at Sony have previously stated that they wouldn’t want PC ports to release in a similar timeframe to their console debuts - so two years on from Ragnarok's release makes sense. Do with this information what you will, but if Kratos is ready to swing his Leviathan axe soon, here’s hoping it's not as buggy as The Last Of Us Part 1's PC debut.
