It was pretty safe to assume that at the end of God of War: Ragnarok, we’d seen the last of Kratos and Atreus.

After all, the finale of Ragnarok was pretty solid and satisfying, leaving players with a fond farewell to the god of war and his boy. Few studios can leave players with an amazing game that players are happy to leave alone after it has ended, but Santa Monica Studio isn’t just any studio.

But, if rumours are to be believed, there could be more yet to come.

Leaks point towards GoW Ragnarok DLC

A new leak from the insider known only as The Snitch has indicated that there could be some DLC on the way for God of War: Ragnarok that focuses on Atreus.

The insider has suggested on Twitter that the extra content is coming, saying that “Project God of War: Ragnarok DLC is on the way.”

He has also suggested elsewhere that the DLC is “60% complete,” meaning that we probably shouldn’t expect an imminent release.

Of course, as this is the word of a leaker, take the reveal with a pinch of salt, but there are fans on either side of its argument, with some gearing up for something incredibly exciting, and others feeling that the prospect of just playing as Atreus is irritating. Let’s hold off until we get some actual word on this before we make assumptions, though.

Fans react to God of War Ragnarok DLC leak

There are a lot of emotions swirling around in the God of War fan spaces right now, and many don’t entirely know how to process the prospect of more Ragnarok.

Whether we get new content or not, the idea alone is fascinating, especially after the finale we got with Ragnarok. If it’s time we returned to its world, then we’ll do our duty.
