Crash Bandicoot has had his time in the sun. Move over already. We actually love Crash, especially as his iconography reached such heights that it was able to get a full-on sequel in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.

For many, Crash is one side of a coin, while Spyro occupies the other side. Sadly, he hasn't exactly received the same love.

Spyro might've had the remastered trilogy, but there's not an awful lot else going on with him. Thankfully, that might be about to change.

Toys For Bob Tease They're Working On New Spyro

In a seemingly harmless and goofy tweet, the Toys For Bob team may have just confirmed that more games from the purple dragon could be on the way.

If you need a refresher, Toys for Bob is known for the team that worked on the Crash Bandicoot resurgence but was recently pulled over to work on Call of Duty: Warzone

The innocuous tweet was posted to celebrate the new year, showing off the company's vision board for 2023. But, as many fans have pointed out, a little Spyro the Dragon occupies the top left corner. What could this mean?

Many have taken this as a hint that an announcement for a new Spyro the Dragon game could be coming this year, while other Spyro sleuths have found more clues that the dragon will get his long-awaited comeback.

Spyro Achievement Hints At New Game In 2024

As pointed out by one Spyro fan in the replies of the tweet, the PlayStation achievements for Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon contain one accolade titled 'Party like it's 2024' - which is awarded for winning all of the trophies in the game.

Others have pointed out that the use of 2024 is curious and taken it as another hint that a new Spyro game is coming next year. If not, note that the Spyro in the tweet has 25 next to him, which is convenient, considering 2023 is the franchise's 25th anniversary.

It might seem like a reach for some, but we'll take what we can get after so long since an original game release. Time for the purple dragon to get his time in the sun once again.
