The successes of the Horizon series are a testament to their incredible quality, as it seems that Sony has been sending it to die with every launch.

Each of the game's mainline titles has dropped incredibly close to the defining open-world game of their year, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring taking the top spot over Zero Dawn and Forbidden West.

Developer and fan persistence has helped Aloy become a real mascot for PlayStation. However, PlayStation itself could severely limit quiet access to the games. Don't worry - fans are taking this as a chance to get excited about a potential new project.

PS Plus is pulling Horizon Zero Dawn

In a pretty shocking turn for PS Plus removals, Horizon Zero Dawn is being yanked from the digital marketplace of PS Plus soon, even though it'll be the first first-party PlayStation title to do so.

As seen in shared screenshots of Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition on the PS Plus homepage, the service's offer on the game is slated to end on May 21, meaning that players have until then to download and play the game.

This is a major shock for fans of the game who have been using the service to play it, but some think this means big things for the game itself. Taking to the replies from X account Wario64, players have theorised that this means a full PS5 remake is on the way for Horizon Zero Dawn.

In theory, the old version of the game is making way for its arrival by stepping down from PS Plus to boost the remake's sales. This is even more convincing when considering that the game's sequel, Forbidden West, is still firmly on the service.

One gamer joked, "Time for that useless pointless remake. That'll be $70 please!" It's a fair observation, as similar tactics have been deployed for means like this in the past - but it's still a bummer to know that Zero Dawn won't be as freely accessible. Get that playtime in while you still can.
