Horizon Forbidden West Vista Points: How To Find Them
Finding Horizon Forbidden West Vista Points can be tricky. First, you will have to find the Vista Point Tower. These appear on the map with an eye icon. When you find the tower, you need to scan it to receive a fragment of the vista image. Then, take that image fragment and line it up with the world around you. Generally, these Vista Points are all similar viewing platforms, so you should become familiar with what you’re looking for fairly quickly.
Horizon Forbidden West Vista Points: The Daunt
This Vista Point is in The Daunt, north-east of the Redhew Quarry. Across the bridge and to the right you will see the Vista Tower. Scan it to get an incomplete picture of a large house by a river.
Go north-east through the trees until you find a ledge overlooking the river. Stand on the ledge and look south, you will see the ruins of an old house. Use your Focus to line up the broken image with the house to complete the Vista Point.

Horizon Forbidden West Vista Points: Plainsong
For this one, go to Plainsong and travel west. Up in the hills heading towards the mountains you should see the Vista Tower. Follow the path up to the tower to scan it. The broken image you receive will be some satellite dishes between two wind turbines.
Follow the path further up the hills until you find a ruined viewing platform on the edge. This spot is just east of a Sunwing Site, so be prepared for those. Find the right spot to line up the image with Plainsong to complete it.
Horizon Forbidden West Vista Points: Scalding Spear
This Vista Point is northeast of Scalding Spear. This one is very similar to the Plainsong one, head north-east from Scalding Spear into the mountains. Head up to the Vista Tower and scan it for an image of what Scalding Spear once looked like.
Head west down the mountain to the Sunwing Site. Just west of the Sunwings is another viewing area. Of the structures there, head to the most northern one. You will see a tree that has fallen onto the roof, use the three to climb on the roof and scan with your Focus. Line up the image with Scalding Spear to get this Vista Point.

The Stillsands Vista Point is a handy one to grab. The location is south of Scalding Spear, west of Camp Nowhere and north of Hidden Ember (Las Vegas). The Tower is just a little way off the path in the hills just north of the desert.
After you have scanned the tower and received the broken image of Las Vegas, head north from the Tower. Climb just a bit higher up the hills to the viewing platform and look south to align the image.

Horizon Forbidden West Vista Points: Dunehollow
This Vista Point becomes available after you have retrieved Poseidon from the underground area in Las Vegas. Head back down into Dunehollow and into the open area with the various statues and attractions. In the southern part of the area, the Vista Tower is at the eastern end of the bridge just before the Eiffel Tower replica.
After scanning the tower, you get a broken image of the Eiffel Tower. For the correct angle, head to the northern part of the area. There is a walkway that extends out from where you come into the Dunehollow. Walk out to the end of the walkway and look towards the Eiffel Tower to complete the Vista Point.
Horizon Forbidden West Vista Points: Memorial Grove
This Vista Point is found north of Memorial Grove. At a crossroads by a Campfire, you will find the Vista Tower. Scan it for its broken image. To line up the image, you need to head east. Follow the road toward the river, and after you cross it take the road north. At the end of this road, you will be facing the cliff with climbing points for you to use. Climb to the top of the cliff. From here, use your Focus to line up the image with Memorial Grove, to see it as the air force base it once was.

West of the tower you will see a large rocky area. Just Beyond that is another tiny rocky island. Climb to the top of that island and scan the image against the Greenhouse to match it up.
Horizon Forbidden West Vista Points: Shrouded Heights
This Vista Point is in the northernmost part of the island that was San Francisco, way out in the west of the map. On the northern tip of the island there are two bays, the tower is in the western bay on its eastern side. Scan the tower for an image of a large arch.
The building in question is now underwater, so head straight north from the tower and you will see it under the waves fairly easily. While swimming towards it, look to your right and you should see a glowing patch of algae. Swim there to find a boost bar. Swim to the bar to grab it, but do not use it. From this position, open your Focus to line the image up with the building.

You need to shoot the lock off of a ladder, as well as use your grapple to pull down two metal beams below you. When this is done, climb down the ladder, cross the metal beams, then climb up to the highest point of the building. This is where you can scan the image and complete the Vista Point.
