Antony Starr is best known as the actor who plays Homelander in The Boys, and now, he's just stepped up his revenue stream in Call of Duty. Starr has won over fans and savagely left another gaming community

Having seen his face and body ported into Warzone, Modern Warfare 2, and now Modern Warfare 3, Starr has seemingly become quite fond of the series.

But just as his signature Captain America-like look is about to join Mortal Kombat 1, Starr has told fans to get back on CoD instead.

Antony Starr urges Homelander fans to play Call of Duty over MK1

Homelander arrived in Call of Duty as part of the first wave of The Boys characters, with the second now starting to be released to the public - adding Jessie T. Usher's A-Train to the mix.

But with Mortal Kombat 1 also preparing a crossover with The Boys, Starr was asked whether he would be voicing his character in the fighting game, too. It appears not, as the actor laughed it off by telling MK1 fans to go and play CoD.

"Hey, have you heard of Call of Duty? I voiced Call of Duty so go and play that," Starr said. He also took to Twitter to respond to a fan who pleaded for Starr to join the Mortal Kombat lineup, saying, "That ship flew hombre."

Antony Starr will not voice Homelander in MK1

It's not yet clear who will now be voicing Homeland in Mortal Kombat 1 instead of Starr, although they've already roped in celebrity voices for Peacemaker as John Cena's words will be used.

This does make Starr's omission from MK1 all the more interesting because it looks like the developers aren't afraid to splash the cash. Added to this, J. K. Simmons has already been published to reprise his role as Invincible's Omni-Man within the fighting game series.

Either way, it's clear to see where Starr's allegiances lie, and maybe his self-promo of the skin could see a wealth of new fans coming into Warzone amid the arrival of Urzikstan.
