Helldivers 2 fans have found a new reason to come together, and while it's a sad story, Dremskiy being kicked from a group of unfriendly players has united us all.

After the PlayStation account fiasco, goodwill with Arrowhead Game Studios has hit rock bottom and bounced clean off of it. The Helldivers 2 team was incredibly apologetic, and now, players are excited to see what's next for the shooter - even if it has some work to do to return to its soaring heights.

It seems that the community needs something to rally around, much like the siege on Malevelon Creek or the challenge to kill two million Terminids that players smashed. Now, it looks like one sad player is that point of gravity that fans needed.

Helldivers fans are obsessed with the "frend" kicked from his game

Helldivers have united around one player who has sadly found themself cast out in the cold, but ended up being a champion of the game’s community. A screenshot has been doing the rounds in the game's subreddit, showing a player known as Dremskiy excited to join a game.

Unfortunately, Dremskiy is told by another user that they're about to be kicked, as the game is for "friends only." The poor user utters, "I’m Frend," before the other pleads, "Don’t make this more difficult."

Players have found themselves relating to the user only looking for a squad, with many flocking to add the Dremskiy as a friend in-game. In a wholesome twist, another post has revealed that they actually now have too many friends.

The entire subreddit has found a new friend, and so far, there's no real indication that Dremskiy actually has any idea what's going on. We imagine they've twigged that something is up by now, what with a full friend list. We knew the Helldivers 2 community had each other's backs, but they're stepping it up a level here.
