The early days of Hades’ takeover were massively exciting. An indie game of such quality and calibre is cause for celebration anyway, but as it swept awards shows and proved itself consistently to serve as a champion in the roguelike genre, it began to feel like it was snowballing into a true titan of the indie space. Such wins are rare, and to see it come to Supergiant Games was a real treat.
And now, as we sit in the wake of the announcement of its long-awaited sequel, players on PC can jump into the sequel right now.
Hades 2 shadow-drops on Steam in Early Access
In a pretty massive shock to fans of the game, Supergiant Games has revealed that Hades 2 has hit Early Access on Steam and Epic Games Store, so you can play right now.
The store pages were updated this evening, and players are likely itching to leap into the game to see what differences await from the original. Players have been introduced to the core changes to the model of Hades in some recent live streams featuring developers talking fans through what’s new in the new green-tinged follow-up to the indie darling, and now it looks like they’re going to have the chance to see it for themselves following last month's technical test.
If you fancy being among the first to take Hades 2 for a spin, race to Steam or the Epic Games Store ASAP - and it seems that the former might be the best way forward given that it has already been Steam Deck Verified, so you can slay some Gods on the go.
